A brief history of the Chicago & North Western Iowa Division mainline, now part of the Overland Route:

01/14/22

This simple beam bridge crosses US-65 in Colo, near Historic Niland's Corner.
The bridge is simply composed, with three I-Beam spans. These rest on concrete abutments and steel bents.
It is very likely that this traditionally built bridge was designed by the State of Iowa. A similar structure exists in State Center.
Overall, the bridge appears to be in good condition.
